Fire-resistant windows refer to windows that, along with their frames, can meet the requirements for fire resistance stability and integrity within a specified time period. They are necessary when natural lighting and ventilation are needed in the outer walls of two buildings where the fire separation distance is insufficient, or between spaces separated by fire partitions.

Fire Window Categories:
Fixed Fire Window: A fire window without an opening sash.

Operable fire-resistant window: A fire-resistant window featuring operable sashes and equipped with a sash opening/closing control device.

Insulating Fireproof Windows (Type A): Fireproof windows that meet both fire resistance integrity and insulating requirements within a specified time.

Non-insulating fire-resistant windows (Class C): Fire-resistant windows that meet the integrity requirements of fire resistance within the specified time. Divided by fire resistance limit and insulating performance:

Fire-resistant windows are made of steel, available in two grades: Class A (fire resistance of 1.20h) and Class B (fire resistance of 0.90h).

Fire-resistant windows are primarily used in fire walls of high-rise buildings, requiring Class A fire-resistant windows that can close automatically.

When the horizontal distance between doors and windows near both sides of the fire-resistant wall is less than 2 meters, Class B fire-resistant windows should be used.

In addition to residential buildings, kitchen windows in all other structures should be of Class B fire-resistant.

One and two-level fire-resistant buildings should use B-class fire-resistant windows when openings are made in the lobby partition walls.
