Fire-rated windows are those that, within a certain time frame, meet the requirements for fire resistance stability and integrity, including the frame. When there is insufficient fire separation between the exterior walls of two buildings or between spaces separated by fire walls, and there is a need for lighting and ventilation, fire-rated windows should be used.

Fire-resistant window categories:
Fixed Fire Window: A fire-resistant window without an operable sash.

Operable fire-resistant windows: Fire-resistant windows with operable sashes and equipped with sash opening/closing control devices.

Insulation and Fire-Resistant Windows (Type A): Fire-resistant windows that meet both fire resistance integrity and insulation requirements within a specified time.

Fire-resistant windows are made of steel, available in two types: Class A (fire resistance of 1.20h) and Class B (fire resistance of 0.90h).

Fire-resistant windows are primarily used in fire-resistant walls of high-rise buildings, requiring Class A fire-resistant windows that can close automatically.

When the horizontal distance between windows and doors near either side of the fire-resistant wall is less than 2 meters, Class B fire-resistant windows should be used.

In addition to residential buildings, kitchens in other structures should use Class B fire-resistant windows.

One and two-level fire-resistant building entrance walls should use B-grade fire-resistant windows when openings are made for windows.
