Fire-resistant windows refer to windows that, along with their frames, can meet the requirements for fire resistance stability and integrity within a specified time frame. They should be used on the exterior walls of two buildings where the fire separation distance is insufficient, or between spaces separated by fire partitions, when natural lighting and ventilation are needed.

Fire-resistant window classifications:
Fixed fire window: A fire window without an opening sash.

Operable fire-resistant windows: Fire-resistant windows with operable sashes and equipped with sash opening/closing control devices.

Insulating Fireproof Windows (Type A): Fire-resistant windows that meet both fire integrity and insulating requirements within specified time.

Non-insulating fire-resistant windows (Class C): Fire-resistant windows that can meet the requirements for fire resistance integrity within a specified time. Divided by fire resistance limit and insulating performance:

Fire-resistant windows are made of steel, available in two grades: Grade A (fire resistance of 1.20h) and Grade B (fire resistance of 0.90h).

Fire-resistant windows are primarily used in fire walls of high-rise buildings, requiring Class A fire-resistant windows that can close automatically.

When the horizontal distance between windows and doors near both sides of the fireproof wall is less than 2 meters, Class B fireproof windows should be used.

In addition to residential buildings, kitchens in other structures should be equipped with Class B fire-resistant windows.

One and two-grade fire-resistant building vestibule partition walls should use Class B fire-resistant windows when openings are made for windows.
