Fire-resistant windows refer to windows, including their frames, that can meet the requirements for fire resistance stability and integrity within a specified period. They are necessary when there is a lack of fire separation between the exterior walls of two buildings, or when there is a need for lighting and ventilation between spaces separated by fire partitions.

Fire-resistant window classifications:
Fixed fire window: A fire window without an operable sash.

Operable fire window: A fire-resistant window with an opening sash and equipped with a control device for the sash opening and closing.

Insulating Fireproof Windows (Type A): Fireproof windows that meet both fire resistance integrity and insulating requirements within a specified time.

Non-insulating fire-resistant windows (Class C): Fire-resistant windows that meet the integrity requirements for fire resistance within a specified time. Divided by the fire resistance limit and insulating performance:
Fire-resistant window selection:

Fire-resistant windows are made of steel, available in two grades: Grade A (with a fire resistance of 1.20h) and Grade B (with a fire resistance of 0.90h).

Fire-resistant windows are primarily used in fire walls of high-rise buildings, and it is required to use Class A fire-resistant windows that can close automatically.

When the horizontal distance between doors and windows near both sides of the fire-resistant wall is less than 2 meters, Class B fire-resistant windows should be used.

In addition to residential buildings, kitchens in other structures should use Class B fire-resistant windows.

One and two-grade fire-resistant building lobby partition walls should use B-grade fire-resistant windows when openings are made for windows.
