Fire-resistant windows refer to windows that, along with their frames, can meet the requirements for fire resistance stability and integrity within a specified period. When there is a lack of fire-resistant distance between the exterior walls of two buildings, or between spaces separated by fire walls, and there is a need for light and ventilation, fire-resistant windows should be used.

Fire-resistant window categories:
Fixed Fire Window: A fire window without operable sashes.

Operable fire windows: Fire windows featuring operable sash and equipped with a sash opening/closing control device.

Insulation Fireproof Windows (Type A): Fireproof windows that meet both fire resistance integrity and insulation requirements within a specified time.

Fire-resistant window selection:

Fire-resistant windows are made of steel, available in two grades: Grade A (resistance to fire for 1.20 hours) and Grade B (resistance to fire for 0.90 hours).

Fire-resistant windows are primarily used in fire walls of high-rise buildings, requiring Class A fire-resistant windows that can close automatically.

When the horizontal distance between doors and windows near both sides of the fire-resistant wall is less than 2 meters, Class B fire-resistant windows should be used.

In addition to residential buildings, kitchens in other structures should use Class B fire-resistant windows.

In the walls of hallways in buildings with first or second fire resistance ratings, windows should be fitted with Class B fire-resistant windows.
