The Role of Shade Covers in Greenhouse Greenhouses

(1) Sunshade Effect: The shading net reduces the intensity of sunlight inside greenhouses, with higher density specifications providing better shading. Black shading net performs better than silver gray in the same specification.

(2) Cooling Effect: The temperature inside the greenhouse decreases due to the shading net coverage. The cooling range of the soil surface and the cultivated layer is ideal. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the upper part of the greenhouse reaches temperatures of 37-40℃, while the surrounding temperature around the surface plants is between 22-26℃, and the soil temperature ranges from 18-22℃, which is suitable for crop growth.

(3) Retain Moisture and Prevent Heavy Rain: The evaporation within the greenhouse is reduced, resulting in higher soil moisture content compared to open fields, with the topsoil remaining moist. The shading net, with its mechanical strength and density, can break down heavy rain into fine drizzle, protecting the leaves from damage and ensuring the soil does not compact easily. The large voids and good ventilation properties make the shading net, when placed over the greenhouse plastic film, perform exceptionally well.
