Introduction to Sand and Gravel Separator

The sand and gravel separator is composed of six main parts: the feeding trough, the mixing and separating machine, the water supply system, the screening system, the slurry homogenization system, the recycling system, and the waste slurry reuse system. When the residual concrete and water enter the feeding trough, a continuous supply of recycled water is injected simultaneously. Under the impact of the water flow, the mixed slurry follows the water into the separator, where it is thoroughly cleaned. The cement slurry water continuously flows out of the separator's bottom outlet, into the slurry trough, and then into the slurry pond. The washed sand and stone, propelled by the spiral blades in the mixing and separating machine, are separated and fall into the material pond through their respective discharge outlets. The cement slurry water that flows into the slurry pond from the slurry trough is mixed with clean water in a predetermined ratio to form concrete using the superimposition method. The recycled sand, stone, and slurry water are reused. Sufficient water is used to rinse the sand and stone during separation to ensure that the stone content is less than 1% and the sand content is less than 3%. Although the fine particle composition of the separated sand and stone is reduced and the gradation changes, this does not affect their use due to the proportion they occupy in the material yard.

The JGJ63-2006 "Standard for Concrete Water Usage" issued by the Construction Department categorizes concrete mixing water into drinking water, surface water, groundwater, concrete plant equipment washing water, and seawater, and establishes various technical specifications for the water used in concrete mixing.
