In September, we gathered to discuss the path of adsorption technology development.

Transformer adsorption technology has a history of more than a decade in industrial applications in China. Due to its advantages of low energy consumption, simple process, and high purity of products, it has been rapidly promoted in the industry. Since 1981, over 400 PSA industrial units of various scales have been built, used for purifying CO2, purifying CO, removing CO2 from shift gas, air separation to produce O2 and N2, concentrating coal mine methane to CH4, and concentrating and purifying ethylene, among other fields. With the improvement in molecular sieve performance and quality, as well as the continuous advancement of pressure swing adsorption technology, product purity and recovery rates have been不断提升, which has further established transformer adsorption economically and facilitated its industrialization.

This year, the government has frequently introduced new ecological policies, increasing the emphasis on environmental protection. It has previously clearly stated, "Green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as gold and silver mountains." The Ministry of Ecology and Environment held a special symposium in Beijing on September 9th, refuting the argument that "environmental protection hampers economic growth," and emphasized that China should strengthen its "green resolve."

Certainly, environmental protection may have a negative impact on the economy in the short term and on a small scale, primarily by exerting a restrictive effect on industries such as power generation, steel, and cement, which are characterized by "high energy consumption, high emissions, and resource-intensive." Conversely, it stimulates sectors like the environmental protection industry and equipment manufacturing. Technologies such as pressure swing adsorption separation undoubtedly hold market potential.

The "2015 Industrial Energy Conservation and Adsorption Technology Development Summit" will be held in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia on September 22-23rd. Representatives from companies such as Beijing Peking University Pioneer Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Hengye Molecular Sieve Co., Ltd., and Chengdu Huaxi Science and Technology Co., Ltd. will deliver thematic reports on the current state of China's pressure swing adsorption separation technology and its applications in environmental protection.
