详情描述
The pavilion, constructed with stone blocks and slabs as its walls, features stone benches inside and beautifully carved floral motifs on the stone pillars. Above, a large Tai Chi diagram is painted, with colorful depictions of dancing dragons and phoenixes on either side, making the entire structure simple yet elegant, steeped in an ancient charm. The pavilion is inscribed with the bold, forceful characters of "Dong Yan Xin Cun" (East Deran New Village), "Xi Song Chen Han" (West Tall Chen Han), "Nan Zhi Qian Feng" (South Standing Qian Feng), and "Bei Cheng Chu Xi" (North Supporting Chu Xi) along its direction, reflecting its geographical environment and significant location at the Hunan-Guizhou border. Inside, there are ten sets of couplets, poems, and other literary works that have a long history, showcasing the sentiments of mountainous literati. The stone pavilion, repaired with donations from Dong, Miao, and Han ethnic groups in the tenth year of the Xianfeng reign of the Qing Dynasty (1860), has stood for 142 years through all sorts of trials and tribulations, remaining majestic and upright. It records the vicissitudes of the times and presents a touching ode to national unity.
