Gear

Gears are mechanical components with continuous teeth on the rim that transmit motion and power. The application of gears in transmission has appeared early on. By the end of the 19th century, the principle of involute gear cutting and the subsequent emergence of machine tools and cutting tools for this purpose were significant. As production developed, the smooth operation of gears became a focus of attention.
