Bamboo and wood products require drying and insect control to prevent cracking, shrinkage, and infestation in the usage environment. Traditional drying mainly involves prolonged drying with hot air kilns (ovens). Utilizing the microwave heating characteristics, bamboo and wood products can be dried using microwave, overcoming the drawbacks of traditional heating and drying methods. Additionally, while drying with microwave, the microwave also has a strong insecticidal effect on the bugs and eggs in bamboo and wood products. Therefore, combining microwave drying with insecticidal treatment is an ideal solution.
