How to Properly Use a Single Girder Crane

The single girder crane, also commonly referred to as a single girder bridge crane, single girder hoist, or single girder crane, typically features a bridge frame with a main girder made of I-beam steel or a combination of steel sections and plates. The hoist trolley is often equipped with a hand winch, electric hoist, or a winch as part of the lifting mechanism. So, how should it be used correctly?
There are two operation modes for the single girder overhead crane: ground-level and control cabin.
Ground operations primarily rely on manual operation, with the quality of ground operations largely dependent on the actual operational capabilities of the personnel.
2. The control room operations are divided into two types: open and closed. They can be installed in either a left or right-side configuration to cater to different user requirements.
Single girder cranes are primarily used in workshops for mechanical manufacturing, metallurgy, petrochemicals, ports, railways, civil aviation, power stations, papermaking, building materials, electronics, and other industries, including workshops, warehouses, and material yards. They offer advantages such as compact dimensions, low building clearances, light weight, and small wheel loads.
The operation process of a single girder overhead crane is somewhat complex, mainly divided into three stages: before operation, during operation, and after operation.
1. Prior to starting work, drivers of crane operators are required to inspect critical components of the crane and eliminate any anomalies before taking over and driving.
Ensure drivers strictly adhere to the "Ten Do Not Hoist" policy for cranes and work diligently.
3. Upon completion of work, drivers are required to return the crane to its original parking position, conduct specific handover procedures, and carry out daily maintenance and care.
