Partial discharge is a pulse discharge that occurs when high-voltage switchgear and its internal high-voltage equipment (such as PT, CT, busbars, cable joints, etc.) experience local discharges (LD) due to insulation faults. During the LD process, phenomena such as pulse currents, electromagnetic waves, ultrasonic waves, light, ozone, and heat, as well as corresponding chemical reactions, may arise. These reactions can decompose into corrosive substances, damaging the insulation layer or leading to increased temperatures and insulation aging, which can cause insulation breakdown.

Selection Scheme 1 for Online Partial Discharge Monitoring includes PD_TA wireless intelligent partial discharge sensors, PD_R partial discharge data receivers, and PD_SR online partial discharge monitoring systems. This scheme's three products enable discharge monitoring, data collection, and data analysis for switchgear. The PD_TA wireless intelligent partial discharge sensors utilize ground electrical waves and ultrasonic partial discharge sensors to detect local discharge signals during the operation of electrical equipment, thereby determining the presence of insulation defects within high-voltage electrical equipment and providing early warnings.
