    Material to be mixed must be evenly distributed during the blending process. The degree of blending can be categorized into three states: mixed, randomly mixed, and completely unmixed. The blending level of various materials in the blending machinery depends on factors such as the proportion of the materials to be mixed, their physical state and characteristics, the type of blending machinery used, and the duration of the blending operation.

    How to Properly Use a Blender?

    1. In the production of additive premixes, the mixing process should be gradually expanded from trace mixing to small, then medium, and finally large-scale mixing.

    The correct sequence for adding materials should be: first add or mostly add the components with a larger proportion to the machine, followed by adding the small and trace amounts on top of them; generally, in various materials, the components with larger particle sizes should be added to the mixer first, and then the ones with smaller particle sizes; when there is a significant difference in the specific gravity between materials, it is usually advisable to add the material with lower specific gravity first, followed by the one with higher specific gravity.

    2. For fixed container mixers, the mixer should be started first before adding materials to prevent full-load startup, and the machine should only be turned off after the materials have been unloaded; for rotating container mixers, the process should be reversed: start with adding materials, stop the machine first, and then unload.

    Measures should be taken to minimize the impact of other factors on the uniformity of the mixed material that has already been blended: the mixed material should be immediately molded into pellets, ensuring that various components are fixed within the pellets or directly bagged; avoid or minimize the transportation and drop of the mixed material; reduce the handling operations after mixing to a minimum; minimize the material's falling, rolling, or sliding; the storage warehouse for the mixed material should be as small as possible, and the conveying equipment should be a belt conveyor or a suitable conveying device for the material.

    To ensure mixed quality, regular performance checks of the blender should be conducted, and lubrication should be applied frequently to the bearings and all moving shaft connections. Prompt maintenance and replacement of worn parts are essential. Accurate mixing time should be determined based on the results of random inspections for uniformity. Regularly inspect the operation of all switches, clean the interior of the machine, and remove any residual material around the door switches to ensure smooth operation.
