Sichuan Cypress Pest - Prevention and Control of the Gray Snail

The Gray Snail produces one generation per year and can live for over a year. Adult snails lay eggs in the soil of Chinese juniper or in the loosened soil beneath pots. The lifestyle of the snail is similar to that of the slug.
Snails reside at the bottom of flower pots or other damp, shaded areas during the day, but venture out to the leaves and other areas at night, causing damage. The affected leaves display scattered small notches or, in some cases, are entirely eaten through, leaving silver marks wherever they crawl, which can impact the photosynthesis and ornamental effects of the Chinese pine.
Preventive measures for snails mainly include:
Regular inspections and timely eradication.
2. Apply 8% Carbofuran Granules or 10% polyaldehyde granules (1.5 grams per square meter).
Apply lime powder in the greenhouse's shaded and moist areas, as well as at the bottom of pots.
