One, Excellent Chemical Stability: Most plastics exhibit good resistance to acids, bases, and other chemicals. Particularly, polytetrafluoroethylene, commonly known as the "Plastic King," is more stable than gold and remains unchanged even after boiling in water for more than ten hours. Polytetrafluoroethylene boasts excellent chemical stability and is an ideal corrosion-resistant material.

Secondly, lightweight. Plastic is a relatively light material with a density of 0.90≤2.2. Clearly, plastics can float on the water's surface. Due to the micropores, the texture is lighter, with a density as low as 0.01. This characteristic allows for the production of blister packaging that requires weight reduction.

Three, excellent electrical insulation. Ordinary plastics are not good conductive materials. Their surface resistance and volume resistance are very high, expressed as 10^9 to 10^18 ohms. The breakdown voltage is high, and the tangent of the loss angle of the dielectric is small. Therefore, plastics are widely used in the electronic and mechanical industries.

Four, mechanical strength is widely distributed and has a high specific strength. Some plastics are as hard as stone and steel, while others are as soft as paper and leather. In terms of the mechanical properties of plastics such as hardness, tensile strength, elongation, and impact strength, plastics have a broad distribution and usage range, with a small proportion but high strength.

Poor thermal conductivity has the effects of noise reduction and damping. Generally, the thermal conductivity of plastics is relatively low, ranging from 1:75 to 1:225 compared to steel. The micropores in foam contain gas, making it excellent in insulation, noise reduction, and shock resistance.
