Flow-through shelves, also known as self-slide shelves, share the same basic structure and principle as gravity shelves. They are equipped with roller-type aluminum alloy or sheet metal flow strips mounted on the beams, placed at a certain slope. The stored goods are small items, with unit weights generally ranging from 10 to 20 kg. The handling is manual, with goods typically packaged in cardboard boxes or placed in plastic bins or component boxes. They utilize gravity to facilitate the flow of goods and the first-in-first-out principle, allowing for one-time restocking and multiple picking, ensuring high storage efficiency. They are commonly used in distribution center picking operations and production assembly line process transitions, and can be paired with electronic labels for goods information management.
