The shuttles, which run back and forth on specific tracks of the racks, can elevate or lower their bodies or platforms to lift and lower the goods on trays, sequentially returning the trays to their designated positions. The trolley is remotely controlled by radio, and the shuttle trolley operated via radio control can easily run on tracks carrying palletized goods; the onboard battery provides power for continuous operation, primarily moving forward and backward with its four wheels. Multiple tunnels can share a single shuttle trolley. The number of shuttle trolleys is determined by a combination of factors such as tunnel depth, total goods volume, and dispatch frequency.
The shuttle rack system, composed of an aisle rack and a shuttle vehicle, achieves high-density semi-automated storage of palletized goods. Depending on the arrangement of the goods' access points, it can be classified into First-In-First-Out (FIFO) and Last-In-First-Out (LIFO) modes.

Drawbacks: Both ends of the shelves require forklift aisles, resulting in a lower dynamic storage utilization compared to the Last-In-First-Out (LIFO) system. In the LIFO system, forklift aisles are only arranged on one side of the shelves, with goods accessed from one side of the aisle only.
Advantages: Channels are arranged on only one side, maximizing storage area usage, making it more suitable for scenarios with low requirements for the sequence of material in and out.
