Ⅰ. Product Features
Install a temperature sensor in the vortex flow meter, using the flow sensor housing as the temperature housing. This isolates the vortex flow and temperature sensor from the process, ensuring easy calibration and replacement.
The temperature compensation capability of saturated steam, calculated through process temperature and density, provides a compensated mass flow rate using the calculated density.
Enhanced performance in saturated steam conditions, as electronic components are designed to compensate for changes in process temperature, thereby improving operability in saturated steam.
Reduce installation costs; multi-variable vortex flow meters do not require an external temperature sensor.
■ Equipped with a flow totalizer for additional features, integrating a multi-variable vortex flow meter with a pressure transmitter allows for full pressure and temperature compensation for superheated steam and various gases.
II. Working Principle and Structure
(1) A quality vortex street flow meter is a fluid oscillation type flow instrument made according to the "Karman vortex street" principle. When a non-stream energy column with a cross-section is inserted into a flowing fluid, two rows of alternating vortices are generated at the rear of the column.
The vortex separation frequency f is directly proportional to the column flow velocity V and inversely proportional to the column width d.

The St number, associated with Strouhal number, is a dimensionless constant that can be determined experimentally. When the geometric shape and dimensional design of the swirling body are appropriate, the St number remains constant over a wide range of Reynolds numbers (see Figure 1).
