Stainless Steel Tube-in-Tube Heat Exchanger



Sheet or corrugated types should be fixed according to the actual requirements of the application of the stainless steel tube-type heat exchanger. For situations with high flow rates and low pressure drops, a plate type with low resistance should be selected. Additionally, a plate type with high resistance should be chosen. The type of heat exchanger to be selected, whether detachable or brazed, should be determined based on the fluid pressure and temperature of the heat exchanger. It is not suitable to choose a plate with a small single board area when determining the type of heat exchanger plates, as this can lead to too many plates, low flow rates between the plates, and a low heat transfer coefficient. This issue should be addressed more by focusing on larger heat exchangers.
The process combination should be calculated based on heat transfer and fluid resistance, and determined according to the requirements of the process conditions. Aim to make the convective heat transfer coefficients in the cold and hot water channels of the stainless steel tube heat exchanger equal or nearly equal, to achieve good heat exchange performance. Because when the convective heat transfer coefficients on both sides of the heat transfer surface of the heat exchanger are equal or nearly equal, the heat transfer coefficient is obtained, even though the flow velocities between the heat exchanger plates are not equal, the calculations for heat transfer and fluid resistance are still executed based on the average flow velocity. This is due to the fixed "U" shaped single flow nozzle of the heat exchanger, which is convenient for disassembly and assembly.
