The structural design of the stainless steel tube bundle heat exchanger includes the following:
1. Based on the heat exchanger's operating temperature and pressure, as well as the thermal design and resistance calculations, determine the materials and dimensions of each component to maintain the heat exchanger's performance during stable operation.
2. Select the welding method and sealing material based on the heat exchanger's operating temperature, pressure, and fluid properties.
3. Design the head, junction box, connecting pipe, and baffle, etc., aiming to ensure uniform fluid distribution.
4. To ensure the structural design of the heat exchanger tube bundle meets the thermal and resistance performance of stainless steel, the main components must undergo strength verification to prevent damage due to insufficient strength under harsh operating conditions or excessive material thickness, which could lead to waste.
5. Consider requirements for maintenance (including cleaning, repairs, and maintenance) and transportation.
6. For some tube bundle heat exchangers operating under special conditions, it is necessary to calculate the thermal stress during startup and shutdown, assess structural changes caused by fluid flow, or verify flow rates to minimize corrosion and scaling on the heat exchanger surface.
