In the evaporator, the refrigerant absorbs heat and evaporates, becoming a low-pressure vapor again, which is then sent back to the compressor to complete the refrigeration cycle. The evaporator typically contains a medium (usually water or a water solution), which is then circulated by a pump to the equipment that requires cooling. The chilled water temperature can be automatically adjusted to meet requirements, and long-term use can save water.
