A shot blasting machine refers to a casting equipment that uses high-speed projectiles ejected by a blasting pot to clean or strengthen the surface of castings. It can simultaneously perform sand removal, core removal, and cleaning on castings. In some regions, it is also colloquially referred to as a sandblasting machine or a sanding machine.

The shot blasting machine is a treatment technique that uses a shot blaster to rapidly propel steel grit or steel shots to impact the surface of a material object. Compared to other surface treatment methods, it is faster, more effective, and can be applied to partially retained or stamped casting processes.

The shot blast machine can also be used to remove burrs, diaphragms, and rust, which may affect the integrity, appearance, or definition of the object's parts. The machine can also remove surface contaminants from a part's coating surface, providing a surface profile that enhances coating adhesion, thereby reinforcing the workpiece.
