Bin Ge Net (Gabion, Gabion Box, Geogrid, Ecological Box, Gabion Box, Hexagonal Box, Gobi Net) is assembled from geogrid panels with various aperture sizes in accordance with ASTM A975-97 standards. Field-filling stone materials form a flexible, permeable, and integrated support structure for ecological protection projects. The wires are made of high galvanized steel or 10% aluminum-zinc alloy steel wire. In case of harsh environmental conditions and severe pollution, the surface of the wire can be coated with plastic (PVC) to enhance the wire's corrosion resistance.
Binge Net, also known as Gabion Net or Eco Gabion Net, is a new type of material structure widely used in traffic, water conservancy, municipal, landscaping, and soil and water conservation projects in recent years. The Eco Gabion Net is made by mechanically intertwining and weaving high-strength, anti-corrosive, abrasion-resistant, low-carbon, galvanized steel wire or 5% aluminum-zinc rare earth alloy coated steel wire (or homogenous coated polymer wire) into a multifilament, hexagonal mesh sheet. The length of the double-line hinge section should not be less than 5 cm to prevent damaging the protective coating of the steel wire. The Eco Gabion Net can be assembled into boxes according to engineering design requirements, filled with materials like blocks of stone, and connected into a single unit, serving as new technology for embankment, roadbed protection, and other projects.
BinGe Network Overview
The Eco-Grating Method is suitable for gentle riverbanks with high flow rates, severe erosion, and excessive seepage. The gabion is a flexible structure with excellent self-adjustment to uneven settling. The porous surface of the riverbank allows for animal habitats and plant growth between the stones. The gabion surface above the waterline can be used for vegetation with soil bags, meeting ecological considerations and safety requirements.
In China, the ecological grid structure originated from the bamboo baskets and sheepfold techniques over 2,000 years ago, first utilized by the Li Bing father-son duo in the Dujiangyan Project. This represents the traditional ecological grid structure; the modern concept of ecological grid structure in China dates back to a company named Jinlida in Jiangnan in 1998. Today, as a new process, technology, and material-based ecological grid structure, it has successfully been applied in hydraulic engineering, road, railway engineering, and embankment protection projects. It has effectively integrated the engineering structure with the ecological environment. Compared to some traditional rigid structures, it possesses its own advantages, and thus, it has become a structural form for protecting riverbeds, controlling landslides, preventing debris flow, and preventing falling rocks, while also considering environmental protection on a global scale.
The mesh is woven from low-carbon steel wire that has been annealed and hot-dipped with zinc or a 5% aluminum-zinc alloy with rare earths. For engineering safety reasons, it is not permissible to use trial materials without international standards, such as steel wire with a 10% aluminum-zinc alloy coating.
If a layer of PVC or PE (absolutely not other polymers) is coated over低碳high galvanized or 5% aluminum-zinc rare earth alloy wire, the finished product will possess enhanced features such as rust resistance, static electricity prevention, aging resistance, corrosion resistance, high compressive strength, and high shear resistance. It can effectively withstand the erosion from seawater or highly polluted environments.
Hessian baskets are commonly used in soil stabilization techniques on slopes due to their economic benefits, ease of construction, on-site material sourcing, and the ability to fill with soil, gravel, and natural graded materials, quickly forming retaining or water-retaining structures. Therefore, they are widely favored in the engineering field.
Features of BingNet
(1) Economical. Simply load the stones into the cage and seal it.
(2) Easy to install, no special skills required.
(3) Highly resistant to natural damage, corrosion, and adverse weather conditions.
(4) Can withstand a wide range of deformation without collapsing.
(5) The silt between the cage and the stone crevices promotes plant growth and can seamlessly integrate with the surrounding natural environment.
(6) Excellent permeability to prevent damage caused by hydrostatic pressure.
(7) Save on transportation costs. It can be folded for transport and assembled on the construction site.
