Stainless steel ductwork is a material frequently used in the industrial sector, primarily produced on the second or third production line. After production, installation is required. What are the key points to note during installation?

It should be specifically noted that the product's internal corner joints must be fully coated with sealant. To ensure that the internal corner joints of 4-meter-long products (since standard aluminum foil composite boards are 4 meters long, many 4-meter-long ducts will be produced) can be fully coated with sealant, it is necessary to equip with a long sealant applicator gun that measures 2 meters in length. This is to guarantee that the internal corner joints of products between 2 and 4 meters in length can be fully coated with sealant. This point must be strictly enforced as a quality control criterion. Any long products found to have unsealed areas in the middle of the internal corner joints must be reworked.

Stainless steel duct installation: four corners require the addition of right angle washers for the connection pieces.

Due to the internal pressure acting on the product wall concentrating at the corners of the duct, when the side length is greater than 320mm, the four corners of the product assembled no longer meet the stiffness requirements and can easily deform under external forces. Therefore, when installing the rectangular duct with a side length greater than 320mm, galvanized right-angle shims (thickness not less than 0.75mm) should be粘贴 at the four corners of the product to increase the overall strength and stiffness of the product.
