Operating Principle

The dosing unit consists of a metering pump as the main dosing equipment, along with a solution tank, agitator, level gauge, safety valve, check valve, pressure gauge, filter, buffer, piping, valves, base, ladder, automatic monitoring system, and power control system, all assembled on a common platform as required by the process flow, forming a module known as a skid-mounted integrated unit.

Dosage unit with an integrated mechanical and electrical structure, available in fixed and mobile (cart) configurations. Each type comes equipped with a mixing system, dosing system, and automatic control system. Multiple fixed units can be combined into a single unit, and with a variable frequency control system, it allows for on-site control, remote automatic control, and manual-to-automatic switching. Features include compact structure, small size, low noise, stable operation, easy installation, and user-friendly operation.

The dosing unit, through various process designs, accurately configures solutions of various solid and liquid chemicals, and then precisely injects them using a metering pump to meet various design requirements such as descaling, deoxygenation, coagulation, acidification, and alkalinization.

The dosing process can be manually operated or automated through various electrical devices and instruments such as a PC, magnetic flip level gauge, pH meter, stroke controller, and variable frequency drive, transforming the dosing unit into an electromechanical integrated product and achieving automatic control.

The dosing amount and pressure of the dosing unit can be adjusted according to the requirements of the industrial process, selecting an appropriate metering pump. Flow rates from 1L/h to 8000L/h, and pressures from 0.1MPa to 25MPa are all available for suitable products.

The metering pump offers a measurement accuracy up to ±1% and can simultaneously transport multiple media with individual adjustment.

The volume of the solution tank in the dosing unit can range from 0.1 m³ to 20 m³, which can be selected based on the dosing amount. Various materials are available for selection depending on the type of conveying medium, such as carbon steel (lined with rubber), stainless steel, and non-metallic materials (PE, PVC, PP, PTFE), etc.

Performance Description of Additive Device

The complete set primarily includes the feeding system, drug storage drum, dosing system, and power control system.

The dissolution drum is equipped with facilities for automatic operation, including a level gauge, low-level alarm, and valves. The outer wall of the drum is fitted with a magnetic flip-level gauge for real-time monitoring of the liquid level inside. There are feed openings and auxiliary openings on top, while discharge, drain, overflow, and level gauge interfaces, along with corresponding gates, are provided on the side of the drum. When the liquid level inside the drum falls below the set low-level value, the alarm system is automatically activated, and the dosing pump is paused.

The dosing system includes centrifugal pumps, electromagnetic flowmeters, and related valves.

The ammonia addition system can be fully automated; in addition to manual preparation, the ammonia solution can also be controlled automatically. When the liquid level in the solution tank falls below the set value, the water valve is automatically opened until the high liquid level is reached, and then it closes automatically. The control of ammonia addition can also be automated, in addition to manual control, with the PLC programmable system performing PID calculations, and the frequency converter controlling the ammonia dosing pump to achieve fully automatic dosing.

2. Phosphorus and Salt Mixing System for Boiler Water

The preparation of phosphate solution involves adding sodium tripolyphosphate directly to the medication addition point in the solution tank, then starting the mixer to dissolve it. In addition to manual control, the addition of phosphate can be fully automated. After PID calculations by the PLC programmable logic controller, the variable-frequency inverter controls the dosage of the phosphate metering pump to achieve automatic medication addition.

Selection Considerations

1. When selecting a dosing unit, first determine the required dosage volume of the system to choose the appropriate specification (including metering pump parameters, mixing tank volume, solution tank volume, and on-site conditions). Then, based on the dosing situation, decide on the dosing method (usually "one in use, one in reserve" or "multiple in use, one in reserve").

2. Select the material for each component of the dosing unit (stainless steel, carbon steel, non-metallic materials), the type of metering pump (diaphragm pump, plunger pump), or the parameters of the chemical being dosed (name, concentration, temperature, density, viscosity, corrosiveness, etc.).
