When the air conditioner filter is full of dust, it significantly reduces the performance of the air conditioner. It intensifies the workload of the air conditioner, wasting money and energy.

So, we need to learn how to clean air conditioners. Cleaning an indoor unit generally involves three steps: the exterior shell, the filter, and the cooling fins. While cleaning and disinfecting is simpler than repairing, and can be done by yourself, if you're not familiar with it, don't fumble around. Otherwise, it can severely reduce the lifespan of the air conditioner and lead to a constant loud humming sound.

1. Cleaning the Shell: Wipe the exposed shell with a soft cloth, then open the front panel to dust the interior of the air conditioner cover.

2. Heat Sink Cleaning and Disinfection: Spray the heat sink with professional air conditioner cleaner repeatedly for three times, let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the cleaner to thoroughly contact and kill bacteria on the heat sink, then place it back into the filter mesh, cover the panel, plug in the power, and run the air conditioner in the cooling mode for half an hour.

3. Filter Mesh Cleaning: Remove the filter mesh and gently tap off surface dust. Wash the mesh with clean water, then rinse thoroughly and dry with a cloth or air-dry. If there is excessive dust on the filter mesh, you may use cleaning solution for washing. However, avoid direct sunlight or using open flames to dry, as this can cause the mesh to warp.
