Calcium chloride can be categorized into many types based on different standards, serving both industrial and food-grade applications, and is also a raw material for many common consumer products.

Calcium chloride, categorized by different applications, is available in industrial grade and food grade varieties. It comes in two forms: 94% anhydrous calcium chloride and 74% hydrated calcium chloride. The appearance includes calcium chloride powder, granules, tablets, anhydrous calcium chloride shot beads, and hydrated calcium chloride bright balls.

Calcium chloride, with its strong hygroscopic properties and neutral nature, is commonly used as a desiccant for most common gases. Anhydrous calcium chloride is one of the widely used and effective corrosion inhibitors. It is also one of our commonly used de-icing agents, utilizing its ability to melt and dissipate heat, as well as its low freezing point. Calcium chloride in antifreeze solutions can accelerate the hardening of concrete and enhance the frost resistance of building mortar.

Food-grade calcium chloride is a widely-used food additive, serving multiple purposes: it enhances taste as an electrolyte in beverage manufacturing, reduces salt content in pickling, increases the viscosity of canned soups and congee through gelatinization, and in tofu production, it promotes emulsification and coagulation, enhancing the tenderness and smoothness of soybeans.
