Basic Structure: The basic construction of the centrifugal pump consists of six main parts: impeller, pump casing, pump shaft, bearings, sealing ring, and packing box.

Blade wheel

The impeller is a critical component of the centrifugal pump, with high speed and powerful output. The blades on the impeller play a major role. The impeller must pass a static balancing test before assembly. The inner and outer surfaces of the impeller must be smooth to minimize frictional losses in water flow.

Pump shaft

The shaft of the pump serves to connect the coupling and the motor, transferring the motor's torque to the impeller, thus it is the main component for transmitting mechanical energy.

Pipe centrifugal pump bearing

This is a component that fits over the pump shaft to support it, available in two types: rolling bearings and sliding bearings. Rolling bearings are lubricated with cow grease, and the oil should be added appropriately, generally to 2/3 to 3/4 of the volume: too much can cause overheating, and too little will result in noise and overheating! Sliding bearings use transparent oil as the lubricant, and should be filled to the oil level line. Too much oil may seep along the pump shaft and be wasted, and too little can overheat the bearing, leading to damage and accidents! During the operation of the water pump, the bearing temperature typically runs around 60 degrees Celsius, but if it reaches 85 degrees Celsius, it is essential to investigate the cause (whether there is any contamination, if the oil has turned black, or if water has entered) and take timely action!

Sealing Ring

Also known as a leakage ring. Excessive gap between the impeller inlet and the pump casing can cause water in the high-pressure area of the pump to flow through this gap to the low-pressure area, affecting the pump's output and efficiency! Too small a gap can cause friction and wear between the impeller and the pump casing. To increase backflow resistance, reduce internal leakage, and prolong the service life of the impeller and pump casing, a sealing ring is installed at the junction of the inner edge of the pump casing and the outer edge of the impeller, with the sealed gap kept between 0.25 to 1.10 mm.

Filling sleeve

Primarily composed of packing, water seal rings, packing sleeves, packing cover, and water seal pipes. The function of the packing box is mainly to seal the gap between the pump housing and the pump shaft, preventing water inside the pump from leaking out and external air from entering the pump. Always maintain a vacuum inside the water pump! When friction between the pump shaft and packing generates heat, the water seal pipe channels water into the water seal ring to cool the packing! Ensuring the normal operation of the water pump. Therefore, during the routine maintenance checks of the water pump, special attention should be given to inspecting the packing box. A replacement of the packing is required approximately every 600 hours of operation.

Vertical hot water pumps are suitable for metallurgy, chemical industry, textile, wood processing, papermaking, as well as for boiler high-temperature hot water boosting, circulation, and delivery in restaurants, bathrooms, hotels, etc. They are also used for heating circulation in urban housing. The operating temperature is below 120℃.

Installation Notice

(1) The base surface must be flat, clean, and capable of bearing the corresponding load; (2) Anchor bolts must be used at points requiring fixation.

(3) For vertically mounted pumps, the anchor bolts must be of sufficient strength.

(4) If vertically mounted, the motor must be above the pump.

(5) When mounted on the wall, ensure proper alignment and centering.
