China's robotics industry reached 100 billion yuan in scale last year.

NetExpress, from the press conference of the 2021 World Robot Conference held in Beijing, learned that since the 13th Five-Year Plan period, China has initially formed a relatively complete robot industry system. The scale of the industry has grown rapidly, with the annual compound growth rate of the robot industry exceeding 15% in recent years. In 2020, the scale of the national robot industry reached 100 billion yuan, and the development of the robot industry has continued to improve this year, with an increase of 69.8% in industrial robots in the first half.

At the press conference, a relevant official from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's First Equipment Industry Department introduced that in recent years, China's robotics industry chain has continuously improved. Key core technologies and components such as robot motion control, high-performance servo drives, and high-precision reducers have accelerated breakthroughs. The technical indicators of single machines and small-batch production products have reached the international advanced level, with significant enhancements in overall functions and performance. At the same time, integrated applications have been greatly expanded. In 2019, the robot density in China's manufacturing industry reached 187 robots per 100,000 people, significantly higher than the global average.

The 2021 World Robot Conference will be held in Beijing from August 18th to 22nd. The conference, themed "Sharing New Achievements, Jointly Injecting New Momentum," is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other organizations, and organized by the China Electronics Society, Beijing Economic and Information Technology Bureau, and others. During the conference, the World Robot Expo and the World Robot Competition will also be held concurrently.
