FRP negative pressure fans, also known as FRP fiberglass negative pressure fans (FRP stands for Fiber Reinforced Plastic), are commonly referred to as FRP fans; 2. FRP Characteristics: (1) Lightweight and high strength. (2) Good resistance to corrosion. It has excellent resistance to atmospheric conditions, water, and various concentrations of acids, alkalis, salts, as well as many oils and solvents. (3) Excellent electrical properties. It is an excellent insulating material used to make insulators. It maintains good dielectric properties at high frequencies and has good microwave permeability. (4) Good thermal properties. FRP has a low thermal conductivity, is not easily deformed, and withstands high temperatures. Due to these characteristics, FRP negative pressure fans are resistant to low temperatures, acids and alkalis, lightweight, and stable, with a longer service life; Plastic, galvanized steel negative pressure fans: Currently, they are rarely used in the market; 3. Transmission Methods: The transmission methods of negative pressure fans are divided into direct drive and belt drive. From this transmission method, it affects the air volume, noise, and maintenance of the negative pressure fan; direct drive is superior; 3.1. The blades of direct drive negative pressure fans are indirectly mounted on the motor, which increases power loss during transmission. For fans with the same power, the air volume of direct drive negative pressure fans is about 10% larger than that of belt drive fans; the belt of belt drive negative pressure fans may loosen over time, and after loosening, the air volume of the fan will significantly decrease. 3.2. Direct drive negative pressure fans also do not have the noise generated by belt friction. 3.3. Belt drive requires maintenance. Generally, the belts of negative pressure fans can last for two years (export models), but a large number can only last for one year, especially those installed underground, which are also difficult to replace.
