Galvanized Square Pipe

Galvanized square tubes are hollow square-section steel pipes with square cross-section shapes and sizes, made by cold bending processed from hot-rolled or cold-rolled galvanized strip or coil, and then high-frequency welded. Alternatively, pre-bent hollow square-section steel pipes can be hot-dip galvanized to produce galvanized square tubes.

Galvanized square tubes are categorized by production process into hot-dip galvanized square tubes and cold-dip galvanized square tubes.

Cold galvanized square tube: It utilizes the principle of cold galvanizing to impart corrosion resistance to the square tube. Unlike hot galvanizing, cold galvanized coatings primarily rely on electrochemical principles for corrosion prevention, necessitating thorough contact between the zinc powder and steel to generate an electrode potential difference. Thus, surface treatment of the steel is crucial.
