Three Major Faults Analysis and Exclusion Methods for Submersible Pumps

Fault Analysis

1. Breaker panel tripped

After a period of shutdown, restart the pump and use an ammeter to test the operating current of the pump. Check if it exceeds the rated current. If it does not, the pump does not have mechanical failure. If it does, further investigation is required.

2. The pump's water output is low

On two fronts, one is a leak in the well casing, leading to pressure and water loss, thus insufficient water inflow; the other is severe wear on the pump impeller, resulting in reduced water inflow.

Pump is not rotating.

Before descending into the well, it is necessary to rotate the pump impeller to prevent rusting of the pump clearance due to extended storage.
