How the Wulianhua curbstones are processed and constructed

Manufacturing:

The cutting is done according to uniform stone lengths, with exposed surfaces requiring machine polishing and buffing. The length tolerance is within ±2mm, while the width, thickness, and height tolerances are within ±1mm.

Construction Process Precautions:

Curbing must be constructed by hanging a straight line. The side and top plane heights should be marked and tightened accordingly. Side curbing stones should be laid in a straight, upright manner, avoiding any tilting forwards or backwards. The side top line should be smooth and even, without any unevenness or misalignment. The plane should not have any up-and-down or inner-and-outer misalignment.

b. Curbs must be constructed using mortar, ensuring the mortar is compact and no gaps should be filled with bricks.

c. The joints of the five lotus road curbs should not be out of alignment by more than 1mm; the side stones and flat stones must be evenly staggered in the center.

d. curb stones should ensure that dimensions and finish meet design requirements. Appearance should be aesthetically pleasing. For curves, side stones should be specially machined to the design radius to form curved stones. During construction, ensure the line is smooth, rounded, and joints are tight. Arc-shaped side stones must be artificially honed and then polished.

The back of the curb should be filled with compacted soil, with a width of not less than 50mm and a thickness of not less than 15mm.

f. Curbing Jointing: During jointing, it is necessary to hang a line again, clean out the debris inside the side stone joints, moisten with water, and then fill and compact the joints with 1:2.5 cement mortar.

After laying and grouting the curbs, water them appropriately for maintenance.
