Laboratory Ventilation System

Deciphering Variable Air Volume (VAV) Systems: In large ventilation systems, to address the variable air volume requirements at the end of ventilation equipment and the constant face velocity requirement, further adjustment is needed. We apply variable frequency + variable air volume ventilation control to solve this.
Airflow Control for Fume Hoods: As an essential primary protection equipment in chemical laboratories, fume hoods are subject to strict face velocity requirements across countries. Generally, it is required to maintain a constant face velocity of 0.5 m/s. Both excessive and insufficient face velocities pose a risk of leakage.
Other Local Exhaust Ventilation Control: Local exhaust systems such as universal hoods, atomic absorption hoods, and reagent cabinets should be capable of continuous and efficient control, safely and promptly exhausting gases.
Room Pressure Control: Typically, it is required to maintain a negative pressure in the laboratory relative to the corridor at all times to prevent cross-contamination with surrounding office or production areas.
Fan classifications
According to the airflow method, fans are categorized into three types: centrifugal (usually placed outdoors), axial (usually placed indoors), and mixed flow (diagonal flow) fans.
According to material classification, fans mainly include ordinary steel fans, stainless steel fans, PP fans, and fiberglass fans, etc.
Features of the Fan:
Centrifugal fan features: high power consumption, higher operating costs, loud noise, strong suction force (high wind pressure), suitable for complex systems, mainly installed outdoors or on rooftops.
Axial Flow Fan Features: Low power consumption, lower operating costs, but high noise level and low suction power (low wind pressure); suitable for simple systems, generally mountable on walls or pipelines.
Tilt-blade fan features: Energy consumption, operating costs, and air suction are between the first two; lower noise level; suitable for simple systems; generally can be installed indoors.
