Desktop Exhaust Fume Hood

Fume hoods are essential safety equipment in laboratories, primarily used for expelling indoor waste gases. They are commonly used laboratory devices in situations where hazardous gases need to be removed and for the cleaning and drainage requirements during experiments.
The primary function of a fume hood: The main function of a fume hood is exhaust, particularly in chemical laboratories where harmful gases, odors, and flammable, explosive, or corrosive substances are produced during experiments. To ensure user safety and prevent the spread of contaminants from experiments into the lab, fume hoods are used near the source of pollution. Previously, fume hoods were used sparingly, only in experiments involving harmful and dangerous gases or those generating large amounts of heat. The fume hood primarily serves as an auxiliary function to the lab table.
The purpose of using a fume hood is to expel harmful gases generated during experiments, thus protecting the health of laboratory personnel. This necessitates a high level of safety and operability, which in turn requires the fume hood to have the following functions:
Release Function: The equipment should be capable of diluting harmful gases generated within the fume hood by absorbing external air from the cabinet, and then releasing them outdoors.
Non-backflow feature: The function should ensure that the airflow generated by the exhaust fan in the fume hood does not reverse and flow back into the room. To achieve this function, it is preferable to connect a fume hood with an exhaust fan using a single pipe. If a single pipe connection is not feasible, it should only be used for fume hoods in the same room on the same floor. The exhaust fan should be installed as close to the end of the pipe (or at the top of the floor) as possible.
Isolation Feature: The ventilation cabinet should be equipped with a non-slip glass viewport in front to separate the interior and exterior of the cabinet.
Supplementary Feature: Should be equipped with a channel or alternative device to draw in air from outside the fume hood when expelling harmful gases.
Control Wind Speed Function: An intake speed is required to prevent harmful gases from escaping.
Thermal and corrosion-resistant properties: Some fume hoods require the installation of electric furnaces, and certain experiments produce large amounts of corrosive acidic and alkaline gases. The countertop, lining, side panels, and selected water and gas nozzles of the fume hood should all possess corrosion-resistant capabilities.
