PP Exhaust Cabinet

Fume hoods are essential safety equipment in laboratories, primarily used for expelling indoor waste gases. They are commonly used laboratory equipment in situations where harmful gases need to be vented and where cleaning and waste disposal are required during experiments.
The main function of a fume hood: Primarily, the function of a fume hood is exhaust ventilation. In a chemistry laboratory, during experiments, harmful gases, odors, and flammable, explosive, or corrosive substances may be produced. To ensure the safety of users and prevent the spread of pollutants from experiments into the laboratory, fume hoods are used near the source of contamination. In the past, fume hoods were used less frequently, only in experiments involving harmful and dangerous gases or those that generate a large amount of heat. The fume hood only serves as an auxiliary function to the laboratory table.
The purpose of using a fume hood is to expel harmful gases generated during experiments, thus protecting the health of the experimenters. This necessitates a high level of safety and operability, which in turn requires that the fume hood possess the following functions:
Release Function: The unit should be equipped with a mechanism to dilute harmful gases generated inside the fume hood by absorbing external air from the absorption cabinet before releasing them outdoors.
Non-backflow feature: The function should ensure that the airflow generated by the exhaust fan in the fume hood does not reverse and flow back into the room. To achieve this function, it is preferable to connect a fume hood to an exhaust fan with a single pipe. If a single pipe connection is not possible, the system should only be used for connecting fume hoods within the same floor and room. The exhaust fan should be installed as close to the end of the pipe (or at the top of the floor) as possible.
Isolation Feature: A non-sliding glass viewport should be installed in front of the fume hood to separate the interior and exterior of the hood.
Supplementary Function: Must have a channel or alternative device to draw in air from outside the fume hood when expelling harmful gases.
Control Wind Speed Function: An intake speed is required to prevent harmful gases from escaping.
Heat and corrosion resistance: Some fume hoods require the installation of electric furnaces, and some experiments produce a large amount of corrosive acidic and alkaline gases. The countertop, lining, side panels, and selected water nozzles, gas nozzles, etc., of the fume hood should all have corrosion resistance.
