Reason Analysis

Roots BlowerThe rotor (waist drum) is mounted on two shafts (the main shaft and the driven shaft) inside the housing, with the installation being mutually perpendicular. It operates in reverse rotation with the help of a pair of gears with constant velocity. Air is drawn in from the fan side and, as it passes through the space formed by the curved surfaces of the two waist drums, it is expelled from the other side of the fan, performing work. There is an appropriate gap between the two rotors, as well as between the rotors and the wall panel, housing, to ensure the normal operation of the fan. If there is excessive radial跳动 in the rolling bearing, it is easy for the rotor to rub against the housing. Therefore, the installation accuracy of all components and improper gaps between the rotors and the wall panel or housing are the main causes of local friction.

Procedural Measures

InspectionBlowerThe positioning pin between the front and rear wall panels and the housing should be checked for installation or looseness; reassemble the positioning pin if necessary.

②Loosen the screws between the front and rear panels and the housing slightly, adjust the relative positions of the front and rear panels and the housing to maintain an appropriate radial gap, tighten the screws, and then re-align the pin holes, installing new locating pins.

Adjusted the axial clearance between the rotor and the front wall panel to 0.35~0.45mm and between the rear wall panel to 0.45~0.6mm.

④ An appropriate shim is inserted between the housing and the rear wall panel, adjusting the axial gap between the rotor and the front and rear wall panels to the specified range.
