Introduction
Horizontal Spiral Sedimentation Centrifuge, commonly referred to as a卧螺离心机, is a type of centrifugal separation equipment.
Horizontal screw centrifuges are generally divided into horizontal screw filter centrifuges and horizontal screw sedimentation centrifuges.
A卧螺离心 machine is a horizontal spiral discharge, continuous operating sedimentation equipment. The working principle of this type of centrifuge is: the drum and spiral rotate at a certain speed difference in the same direction at high speed. Materials are continuously introduced into the conveying spiral inner cylinder through the feed pipe, accelerated, and then enter the drum. Under the action of centrifugal force, heavier solid phase particles settle on the drum wall to form a sediment layer. The conveying spiral continuously pushes the deposited solid phase particles to the drum cone end, which are then discharged out of the machine through the slag outlet. The lighter liquid phase forms an inner liquid ring and continuously overflows from the drum overflow port at the large end of the drum, being discharged out of the machine through the liquid outlet. This machine can continuously feed, separate, wash, and discharge at full speed. It features a compact structure, continuous operation, stable operation, strong adaptability, high production capacity, and easy maintenance. It is suitable for separating suspensions containing solid phase particles with a particle size greater than 0.005mm and a concentration range of 2-40%. It is widely used in industries such as chemicals, light industry, food, and environmental protection.

Selection
Selecting the appropriate slurry centrifuge not only resolves production issues and enhances work efficiency but also saves production costs and reduces business risks. The main factors affecting the selection include:
1. Centrifuge RPM: A general horizontal spiral centrifuge should operate at over 3000 RPM. The higher the RPM, the greater the centrifugal separation factor, resulting in better separation performance.
2. Centrifuge Material: Different materials have varying physical and chemical properties such as wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Overseas horizontal centrifuges typically use 316L stainless steel or duplex stainless steel, while abrasive components must be selected with ceramic composite materials.
3. Centrifuge differential control: Different differentials have varying control accuracy, with significant differences in lifespan and maintenance costs. The higher the differential accuracy, the better the adaptability to materials, thus it is advisable to choose equipment with high differential accuracy.
4. Length-to-diameter ratio: The higher the length-to-diameter ratio of a horizontal screw centrifuge, the greater its processing capacity and the lower its moisture content.
5. Control System: Is it automated programmed control? Both domestic and international equipment manufacturers have basically achieved full automation control for this equipment.
6. Installation Power: Affects energy consumption control; generally, domestic equipment has higher energy consumption compared to international equipment, which tends to be lower.
7. Processing and Manufacturing Technology: Horizontal screw centrifuges are high-precision separation equipment, and products from enterprises without precision processing capabilities have a high repair rate and limited processing capacity.
