Detailed Description
For organic toxic wastewater, anaerobic hydrolysis process is often used to enhance its biodegradability. The anaerobic hydrolysis tank utilizes heterotrophic aerobic bacteria to convert the hard-to-degrade macromolecular organic substances in the wastewater into easily biodegradable small molecules. It transforms complex organic matter into simple organic matter, converts insoluble organic matter into soluble organic matter, forming organic acids, alcohols, aldehydes, etc., improving the wastewater's biodegradability, and creating favorable conditions for subsequent treatment processes. At the same time, the excess sludge produced by aerobic treatment can be digested in the anaerobic hydrolysis tank, reducing the amount of biochemical sludge and lowering the cost of sludge treatment.
Currently, commonly used anaerobic hydrolysis ponds in engineering include submersible mixing type, hydraulic circulation mixing type, air mixing type, and baffled type, etc. Due to the complex quality conditions of organic toxic wastewater, high salt content in the wastewater, strong corrosiveness of the wastewater, submersible mixing equipment is prone to corrosion, requiring a higher protection grade. Additionally, the mixing energy consumption is considerable, and the depth of the submersible mixing type hydrolysis pond should not be excessively large to avoid a large footprint. The hydraulic circulation mixing type hydrolysis pond also features high energy consumption and operating costs. The baffled type hydrolysis pond has a low volume utilization rate, inadequate mud-water mixing, which affects the treatment efficiency. For the air mixing type hydrolysis pond, if the aeration intensity is low, the sludge in the pond is difficult to maintain a suspended state, leading to inadequate mud-water mixing and affecting the treatment efficiency. High aeration intensity allows sludge to suspend, but with high dissolved oxygen levels, the hydrolysis pond evolves into an anaerobic pond or an aerobic pond, rendering the anaerobic hydrolysis function ineffective.
