Fiberglass sculptures are a type of finished sculpture product, characterized by their light weight, corrosion resistance, and relatively low cost. Fiberglass, also known as FRP or fiber-reinforced plastic, is commonly referred to as glassfiber in China. It is a composite material composed of a synthetic resin matrix and glass fibers and their products as reinforcing materials.

Fiberglass Manufacturing Process: Before the final product is made, a clay model of the desired product is created using specific clay materials. Once the clay model is completed, a gypsum mold is cast around it. Then, fiberglass (a combination of resin and glass fiber) is brushed onto the interior of the mold. After it dries completely, the mold is opened, and through the molding process, the fiberglass sculpture is obtained. However, fiberglass sculptures exposed to outdoor sun and wind erosion typically start to deform after five years or more, exhibiting weaknesses such as fragility and propensity to crack.
