Particularly, furniture produced in the south and transported to the north often experiences cracking due to the temperature and humidity differences in the climate. Therefore, avoiding the cracking of rosewood furniture has become the top concern and topic of discussion among many in the rosewood industry. Some say that if rosewood doesn't crack, it's not true rosewood; others argue that to reduce the likelihood of cracking and warping in rosewood furniture, one must address three points: material selection, drying treatment, and a suitable environment. When it comes to cracking and warping, it's important to note that wood, like humans, also has its own capillary system, which includes both large and small capillaries and ultra-fine capillaries. The moisture in wood is like human blood, flowing through these capillary systems. Water in the large capillary system can evaporate freely through cross-sections, making it easier to dry; however, water in the ultra-fine capillary system is more difficult to control, as the water molecules behave like mischievous little devils, reacting to different environmental stimuli, causing them to dance or curl up, affecting the wood's shrinkage and swelling. This manifests on the surface of rosewood furniture as cracking and warping. However, for high-end wood like rosewood, its density is relatively high, reaching about 1.2g/cm3 in some cases. Paraffin wax has a density of 0.86g/cm3, water has a density of 1g/cm3, and the molecular diameter of ordinary wax is 78 nanometers, while the diameter of a water molecule is 0.56 nanometers, and synthetic wax has a diameter less than 1 nanometer. Water molecules find it hard to enter and exit wood, and ordinary wax even more so, which is why synthetic wax, with its diameter less than 1 nanometer, is more easily absorbed into the wood. However, if ordinary paraffin wax is used for injection, it may help with the drying process but also have negative effects, such as sandpaper sticking during sanding, uneven wax filling, and poor adhesive properties. For example, the poor adhesive properties of wood injected with ordinary paraffin can be related to oil content; ordinary paraffin has an oil content of 0.3%, while nano-composite wax has an oil content of less than 0.02%, significantly improving adhesive properties.

The machine uses vacuum pressure impregnation, taking advantage of the principle that water's boiling point decreases under vacuum conditions, allowing for rapid drying of wood at low temperatures. The wax then penetrates the wood to stabilize its properties, effectively addressing issues like discoloration and cracking that occur during conventional drying. The vacuum wax injection technology, as the name implies, involves placing wood into wax that is in a vacuum state. The wood is fully immersed in the wax liquid, and during the heating process in a vacuum state, the melting and boiling points of the wax are reduced, and a pressure difference is formed. This pressure difference facilitates the easy diffusion and extraction of gases and residual moisture within the wood, even some of the wood's natural oils are extracted. The wax then gradually penetrates into the wood's pores. This not only promotes the release of the wood's oiliness but also further seals the wood's pores, setting the wood's shape. The machine also employs modern equipment for automatic temperature and pressure control, maintaining consistent temperature and vacuum levels for safety and stability. After wax immersion, the wood surface is sealed, reducing its sensitivity to air humidity and temperature, significantly reducing its expansion and contraction. This alters the physical characteristics of common wood that deform or swell in environments of extreme dryness or moisture, offering excellent anti-swelling properties. Particularly for large pieces of redwood furniture, which have long processing times, some reaching or exceeding a year, this method effectively prevents deformation of structural components during production. The vacuum pressure impregnation method is used, making for quick and efficient loading and unloading, energy-saving.
