Equipment Introduction The packed bed inside the spray tower serves as a mass transfer device for the gas-liquid two-phase contact components. The bottom of the packed tower is equipped with a support plate for the packing, which is placed on the plate in a random arrangement. A packing plate is installed above the packing to prevent it from being blown away by the ascending gas flow. The spray liquid in the spray tower is sprayed onto the packing from the top through a liquid distributor and flows down along the packing surface. Gas is introduced from the bottom of the tower, distributed through a gas distribution device, and continuously passes through the voids in the packing layer in counter-current to the liquid. At the packing surface, the gas and liquid phases are in close contact for mass transfer. As the liquid flows downward along the packing layer, wall effects may occur, causing uneven distribution of the gas and liquid phases in the packing layer and thus reducing the mass transfer efficiency. Therefore, the packing layer inside the spray tower is divided into two sections, with a redistributing device placed in the middle. After redistribution, the spray is directed onto the lower packing layer. Spray Tower Working Principle: Waste gases are introduced into the purification tower through the duct, passing through the packing layer where they undergo a thorough gas-liquid contact with sodium hydroxide absorbent for absorption and neutralization. After purification, the acid mist waste gases are further dehumidified and demisted by passing through a mist removal plate before being exhausted into the atmosphere by a fan. The absorbent is pressurized at the bottom of the tower by a pump, sprayed from the top, and then recirculated back to the bottom for reuse. The purified acid mist waste gases meet local emission standards and comply with the discharge requirements.
