Flange

Flanges, commonly referred to as "flanges," are just a general term, typically referring to a metal disc-like body with several holes around its perimeter for connecting other items. They are widely used in mechanical applications. Since they come in various shapes and sizes, anything resembling this is called a flange, and the name originates from the English word "flange."
