What is Carbon Black Pigment

Carbon black is an inorganic pigment, primarily composed of carbon elements, and usually exists in the form of extremely fine powder or granules. It can be categorized into four types based on its coloring intensity (or darkness) and particle size: high-pigment carbon black, medium-pigment carbon black, standard pigment carbon black, and low-pigment carbon black.

Color carbon black boasts excellent electrical conductivity, wear resistance, and weather resistance, as well as resistance to acids and alkalis and oxidation. It appears as black powder or granular, is insoluble in water, and is not prone to react with certain mediums. The blackness of color carbon black is typically represented by the data measured with a "reflectometer"; the lower the reflectivity, the higher the blackness, and the smaller the particle size.
