STDZ-1 Rock Point Load Tester Overview:
A point load tester places rock specimens between two spherical conical plates, applying a concentrated load until failure, then calculating the point load strength of the rock based on the failure load. The point load strength can serve as an indicator for rock strength classification and rock mass weathering classification, as well as for evaluating the degree of anisotropy in rock strength. It can also be used to estimate other strength indicators related to it, such as uniaxial compressive strength and tensile strength, etc.
Point load strength tests are applicable to all types of regular or irregular rocks, including core samples from drilled holes, outcrops, exploration trenches, adits, and tunnels. This test individually determines the point load strength of rocks in their natural state.
