Domestic production of forming screens for dome screens is no longer a dream!
As we entered 2016, Chengdu Jindu Chaoxing Astronomical Equipment Co., Ltd., after years of dedicated technical research and exploration, broke through the blockade of ultra-thin aluminum sheets in hyperbolic forming technology. We successfully independently developed equipment for hyperbolic forming of ultra-thin aluminum sheets, specifically for use in spherical dome theaters. This innovation was promptly commercialized, leading to the promotion of domestically produced forming screens in the spherical dome market. In just over a year, we have provided more than 10 spherical domes for both domestic and international markets. The diameters of these domes range from 4 meters to 32 meters, including installations at the Hefei Science and Technology Museum (18 meters), Zunyi Science and Technology Museum (23 meters), Sichuan Science and Technology Museum (7 meters), Beijing Jing Shan School (10 meters), Shanghai East China Normal University Third High School (10 meters), Shenyang Qishan No.1 Primary School (10 meters), Shaanxi Shangluo No.1 High School (12 meters), as well as the Poitiers Future Cinema in France (32-meter flying cinema), the National Museum of North Korea (8-meter dome), and the Bangkok Cultural Center in Thailand (13-meter dome).
Compared to non-formed screens (i.e., flat panels), the spherical screen panels used for splicing are individually designed and machined according to the actual installation dimensions of the spherical screen. As a result, each spliced panel is a part of the standard spherical shape of the entire spherical screen, creating a true, regular sphere. In contrast, splicing non-formed panels (flat panels) only results in an approximation of a sphere.
The spherical screen formed by splicing the panoramic panels features: precise spherical size, natural transition during splicing, without any straight plane phenomena; zero image distortion rate, resulting in superior image performance; significantly reduced splicing seams, only one-third of flat panel splicing seams, and an overall better visual effect of the spherical screen.
With the application of domestic forming screen technology, more users can enjoy the same high-quality dome screens as the previously imported foreign products at a lower cost.
