Insulators are composed of porcelain components and top and bottom metal attachments bonded with adhesive. The porcelain component ends have elastic pads under the bonding contact areas with metal attachments. The bonding areas of the porcelain components feature structures like sandblasting, knurling, and grooving, enhancing mechanical strength, anti-loosening, and anti-twisting properties. The porcelain surface is uniformly glazed white, and the metal attachments are coated with gray magnetic paint. The main structure of the porcelain components in insulators comes in two types: a hollow partition (penetrable) structure and a solid (non-penetrable) structure. Joint bonded pillar insulators are generally of the solid non-penetrable type, which reduces maintenance and testing work compared to the previous structure. The porcelain component shape comes in either multi-angled or less-angled versions, with the multi-angled shape increasing surface spacing and having better electrical properties. All products except the gradually phased-out external bonded pillar insulators are multi-angled. The internal bonding structure, where the metal attachments are glued into the porcelain holes, increases the insulation distance and improves electrical performance, also reducing the space occupied during installation. However, as internal bonding is不利 for enhancing mechanical strength, insulators with higher mechanical strength requirements should use the joint bonding method (i.e., the upper attachments are internally bonded, and the lower attachments are externally bonded).
