I. Design Concept

HBYS Type double air intake cross flow closed-loop cooling tower, as an extensional tower type of single air intake cross flow closed tower, utilizes advanced cooling tower design concepts, integrating from many disciplines such as heat transfer, structural engineering, and materials science. It revolutionarily places the cooler at the bottom, allowing for efficient maintenance through inspection passages and intake grates. The use of a composite water collector significantly reduces evaporation. The lower placement of the inlets and outlets facilitates connection to main pipelines. The double air intake cross flow closed-loop cooling tower resolves the issue of insufficient flow per unit in single air intake cross flow closed towers, holding a superior position in terms of performance and versatility.
Section II: Working Principle

Working fluid (pure water or other liquids) circulates through the coils in a closed circuit cooling tower, with the heat of the working fluid transferred to the water passing through the coils. Simultaneously, air outside the unit enters from the air inlets on both sides, perpendicular to the water flow, crossing the coils and causing a small amount of water to evaporate, thus absorbing heat. The warm, moist air is then exhausted to the atmosphere by the exhaust fan at the top of the cooling tower. The remaining water falls into the bottom sump, where it is recirculated by a pump back to the water distribution system, passes through pre-cooled packing, and is sprayed back onto the coils.
