Color steel tiles are widely used in our daily life, but after prolonged use and frequent exposure to rainy and snowy weather, corrosion is inevitable. So, how should anti-corrosion construction be carried out for color steel roofs?
1. Rust removal
Ensure the base is thoroughly cleaned and de-rusted, removing all oil, dust, and metal oxides. The base must be free of rust spots after de-rusting. The surface must be swept clean before proceeding to the next step. The steel surface after de-rusting should exhibit a metallic luster.

2. Cleaning
High-pressure cleaning equipment must be used for cleaning, ensuring the base surface is thoroughly clean. The surface must be free of dust, debris, oil stains, and other impurities. The base must be solid and level. For uneven or cracked areas, reinforcement must be applied before construction, and continuous attention must be given to maintaining the cleanliness of the base surface.
3. Corrosion-Resistant Primer
Before construction, ensure the base is clean and free of charge; do not work under overcast and rainy weather. Use high-pressure spray equipment; construction materials must be free of sediment and undergo strict inspection. After the packaging drum is opened, try to finish the usage on the same day. Before using the spray material again, it needs to be evenly mixed with a mill. Ensure there is no clogging in the high-pressure spray equipment during the construction process. The spraying process must be even, without accumulation or omission.

4. Inspect touch-up
Corner, edge, lap joints, pipeline areas, screw fasteners, and other vulnerable points of metal roof corrosion need to be carefully inspected to ensure adequate coating at the seams and corners.
5. Corrosion-Resistant Paint
The surface paint application must be performed after the coating has dried. High-pressure spraying equipment should be used for the application. The anti-corrosion coating thickness should be even and free of defects such as peeling, blistering, or delamination. The application must ensure a seamless overall coverage of the base layer. After completion, the finished product must be cured, and unauthorized personnel are prohibited from entering the work site.
